To schedule
a lesson/coaching session:
1.
Sign in to your account and select 'one-to-one learning'- from the menu bar at the top of
the Home page.
2.
Select an Instructor/Coach with whom you want to schedule a lesson/session (alternatively, a learner may access
a previous Instructor/Coach they have learnt with by clicking ‘My Instructors/Coaches’ on
their personal dashboard, or the ‘Find an Instructor/Coach’ link, to be taken
to the list of TLC Instructors and Coaches). You can see an Instructors’/Coaches' availability in
the calendar to the right of their profile. To see their full availability,
click ‘full availability’ under the calendar. Note that this calendar is
only to check availability.
3.
Click ‘Book Now’. On the following screen, select:
·
What you wish to learn from the menu
(note an Instructor/Coach may teach/coach more than one language / subject or skill so be
sure to select the one you want).
·
Timeslot (Instructors/Coaches may offer 30,
45, 60, 90 or 120 minute lessons).
·
Choose how may lessons/sessions to purchase
(you may choose just one, or multiple lessons – above 10 normally offers a
discount). You may also choose ‘recurring buy’ so that the same number
of lessons/sessions are automatically purchased after the time period you indicate).
·
Select the time for your lesson/session from
the availability calendar you will see.
4.
Select a payment method. Currently, TLC platform accepts:
·
Bank transfer
·
Stripe
·
Paypal
·
Transfer from the Learner Virtual Wallet
(the learner/client may deposit money into this virtual wallet to be redeemed against any
lesson, class or course).
5.
Click the ‘confirm payment’ button. The lesson/session will then be added to your personal
dashboard and synched with your Google Calendar (if you have chosen the option
to synch) and you will be sent a confirmation email. You will see a handy
countdown to the lesson/session on your Learner Dashboard.
To get started on the platform:
1.
Click the ‘sign up’ button on the top
right of the home page.
2.
Enter your details as follows:
·
First name (mandatory)
·
Last name (optional)
·
Email
·
Password
·
Click the ‘Register’ button (Note: You
need to accept the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy to continue).
3.
Verify your email by clicking the ‘verify
account’ button in the link sent to your email address.
4.
You will then receive an email confirmationthat your account has been created.
5.
Back on the home page, you can now click ‘Login’and enter your email and password to sign in to your Learner Dashboard (note:
you can also sign in automatically with Google if you have a Google email ID).
6.
You can now begin browsing for instructors or coaches,
booking one-to-one lessons/sessions, group classes/sessions/workshops/webinars or courses, and you are also part of ‘The
Club’, so look out for special activities just for TLC members!
A free meeting is the initial meeting between the Instructor/Coach and learner/client in order to discuss learning or betterment goals and decide on study/learning/betterment pathways.
This meeting can allow both learner/client and Instructor/Coach to decide whether working
together is a good fit. It is important to note that offering a free
meeting is optional for the Instructor/Coach.
Free meetings last for 15 minutes and are
not charged. Learners/Clients can book the free meeting by following the steps outlined
below:
1.
Find an Instructor or Coach you
want to book a free meeting with.
2.
On the detailed information page you
will see a 'Book Free Meeting ' button.
3.
Click the 'Book Free Meeting' button to
open their availability calendar from where you can select
the date and time for your free meeting.
4.
Click 'Book free meeting' which
will redirect you to the checkout page where you need to 'Confirm Order'.Your free meeting is then booked!
The system allows each learner/.cleint to enjoy one free meeting
per Instructor/Coach.
The Learner
Club makes it easy for learners to find the right Instructors/Coaches for them. We have
a range of handy filters to help you find your perfect learning match!
1.
On the Header, click ‘one-to-one learning.’ Alternatively, you can access this through the
Learner Dashboard by clicking ‘Find an Instructor.’
2.
Access the Search Bar below the Header and above the Instructor profiles. Here, the basic search allows you
to filter by:

Instructor/Coach name
·
Subject(s)
·
Lesson Price(s)
·
Instructor/Coach availability (day of the
week and time of day)
3.
For more detailed filtering, click the ‘More filters’ button at the right side of the search
bar. Here you can filter by:
·
Instructor/Coach nationality
·
Instructor/Coach gender
·
Instructor/Coach speaks (what languages
the Instructor/Coach speaks)
·
Instructor/Coach interests (e.g. reading,
yoga, football etc)
·
Teaches/Coaches level (the level, or levels,
the Instructor teaches, if applicable)
·
Instructor/Coach skills (e.g. soft skills
training, communication, wellness)
·
Lesson/Session includes (e.g. theory, practice,
writing, homework etc)
·
Test preparations/Coaching Certification Preparations (e.g. IELTS, DELE,
JLPT, Cambridge Advanced etc)
·
Learner/Client age group (4-11, 12-18, 18+)
Remember,
when you find your perfect Instructor/Coach they will appear on your Learner
Dashboard under the ‘My Instructors/Coaches’ tab in the sidebar.
Learners / Clients can reschedule
the free 15-min meeting or the one-to-one lesson / session. To do this:
1. Log in to your Learner Dashboard
2.
On the side bar, under the Booked
Classes sub-heading, select ‘Lessons / Sessions’. Your upcoming lessons / sessions will
automatically be shown. To the right of each lesson / session, you will see the option to
reschedule or to cancel.
3.
Click ‘reschedule’ and you will see the Instructors / Coaches calendar.
4.
Choose a new slot
Note: Remember to read the Rescheduling/Cancellation/Refund Policy in the Terms
and Conditions as rescheduling of lessons may only be done with the amount of
time notice specified in the policy, otherwise the lesson will go ahead and the
lesson / session fee will be forfeited.
Learners can cancel the
free 15-min meeting or the one-to-one lesson/coaching session. To do this:
1.
Log in to your Learner Dashboard
2.
On the side bar, under the Booked
Classes sub-heading, select ‘Lessons/Sessions’. Your upcoming lessons/sessions will
automatically be shown. To the right of each lesson/session, you will see the option to
reschedule or to cancel.
3.
Click ‘cancel’ and you will see the Instructors/Coaches calendar.
Note: Remember to read the Rescheduling/Cancellation/Refund
Policy in the Terms and Conditions as cancellation of lessons/sessions may result in a
forfeit of some or all of the lesson/session fee depending on when the lesson/session is
cancelled in relation to the lesson/session start time.
To book a group class/session/workshop/webinar or group package:
1.
Sign in to your account and select 'Group Learning’ - from the menu bar at the top of
the Home page.
2.
Select a Group Class or Package from the options available. Note, the default order for the Group
Classes and Courses is set to the nearest date. Alternatively, you can use the Filter
Bar below the Header menu. You can filter by:

Keyword(s)
·
Subject(s)
·
Class Type (Regular or Package)
·
Class Duration (15, 30, 45, 60, 90 and
120 minutes)
3.
Select a payment method. Currently, for Group Classes and Courses, TLC platform accepts:
·
Stripe
·
Paypal
·
Transfer from the Learner VirtualWallet
(the learner may deposit money into this virtual wallet to be redeemed against
any lesson, class or course).
4.
Click the ‘confirm payment’ button. The class/session/workshop/webinar or group package will then be added to your personal
dashboard and synched with your Google Calendar (if you have chosen the option
to synch) and you will be sent a confirmation email. You will see a handy
countdown to the Group class/session/workshop/webinar on your personal dashboard.
Learners/Clients can cancel a group class/session/workshop/webinar, but not reschedule. Only the Instructor/Coach can reschedule.
If a learner/client has bought a Group Package, they cannot cancel
any class/session/workshop/webinar in the package, nor reschedule. Once a Group
Package / Course has started (the first class/session/workshop/webinar in the package has been
delivered), it can also not be rescheduled or cancelled by the Instructor/Coach.
If you urgently need to reschedule or cancel, and your
rescheduling or cancelling does not affect other people in the group (e.g. this
is a group class/session/workshop/webinar/course with only you in it), you should message your
Instructor/Coach through the Learner Dashboard to try to rearrange a more suitable date/time.

Policy in the Terms and Conditions as cancellation of classes/sessions/workshops/webinars/courses may
result in a forfeit of some or all of the class/session/workshop/webinar or course fee depending on when
the class/session/workshop/webinar/course is cancelled in relation to the class/session/workshop/webinar/course start time.
