Instructor / Coach Guidelines for The Learner Club
Welcome to The Learner Club, an online marketplace dedicated to connecting Instructor / Coaches / Coaches and Learners / Clients around the world.
As an Instructor / Coach on our platform, you play a crucial role in shaping the educational and development experiences of your learners and clients. We partner with charities offering learning opportunities for all, the more you teach or coach, the more you will help others to learn. Being an active Instructor / Coach will grant you the privilege of gaining 15% discount with our partnered AI course creator platform
TeachMateAI.
This guide will provide you with important information and policies to ensure a successful and rewarding teaching and coaching experience.
1. Commission Fees: The Learner Club charges a 15% commission fee on all transactions made through the platform. This fee helps us maintain and improve our services, including marketing, support, charities, and platform maintenance. This means you keep 85% of your Instructor / Coach lesson / session / group class / session / workshop / webinar / group course fee.
2. Setting Your Pricing: You have the flexibility to set your own rates for one-on-one lessons / sessions and group classes / sessions / workshops / webinars and courses. You may choose to instruct / coach 30, 45, 60, 90 or 120 minute lessons / sessions for both one-to-one lessons / sessions or group classes / sessions / workshops / webinars. However, we recommend a minimum rate of $20 per hour to ensure fair compensation for your expertise. You can update your pricing at any time through your Instructor / Coach dashboard.
3. Group Classes / Sessions / Webinars: For group classes / sessions / workshops / webinars, you may host sessions with a maximum of 8 learners / clients per class. This limit is in place to maintain a high-quality learning and developing experience for all participants. We encourage you to use an attractive banner for the group classes as this will be reflected on the Group learning page of The Learner Club site and help you attract learners or clients. Canva is one suggested tool for creating these images.
4. Free Meetings: The Learner Club provides learners / clients with the opportunity to book a free 15-minute meeting with you in order to align expectation and goals. Instructors / Coaches are under no obligation to offer this. On the Instructor / Coach Dashboard you may toggle the option to provide the free 15-minute meeting on or off. Note: Each Learner / Client is only entitled to one free 15-minute meeting per Instructor / Coach.
5. Virtual Learning Environment: The Learner Club is integrated with Lessonspace, which provides a virtual white-board with a number of educator-specific tools, and allows for screen-sharing, file-sharing and instant-messaging services. There are a number of video tutorials to help you with navigating this:
Important: Lessonspace on The Learner Club platform will automatically end a lesson / session / class / workshop / webinar when the end time of the lesson / session / class / workshop / webinar is reached. This is to protect the Instructor / Coach as they may have other instructing / coaching committments and are not able to overrun. It is also designed to improve the punctuality of the Learner / Client. Finally, it allows the backend of the platform to accurately record hours purchased and therefore payment accuracy. If you are running a one-to-one lesson / session the only way to circumvent this would be to ask the learner / client to purchase a ‘free’ 15-minute meeting with you right after the lesson / session, or to purchase another lesson / session (at your normal advertised price).
If you prefer to give learners / clients extra time at the end of a class / session, when you plan your group classes / sessions / workshops / webinars, it is recommended to set the duration of the class / session / workshop / webinar for longer. For example, if you are planning a 60-minute group class / session / workshop / webinar, set the duration as 90-minutes, but set the price as a 60-minute class / session /workshop / webinar. Otherwise, keep in mind the end time and be aware that both the Learner / Client and Instuctor / Coach may be removed when the end of the class / session / workshop / webinar duration is reached.
4. Withdrawals: You can withdraw the earnings from your Instructor / Coach Virtual Wallet (which will be automatically credited minus the commission rate when students or clients book your classes or sessions and you complete them) once a week by placing a withdrawal request on your Instructor / Coach dashboard. To request a withdrawal, the following conditions apply:
● The minimum withdrawal amount we recommend is $50 USD (due to the transfer fees imposed by third parties)
● Withdrawals can be processed once a week, typically at the end of the week (however, we recommend withdrawals once a month due to bank and transfer fees)
● You will receive your earnings through your chosen payment method (e.g., bank transfer with Wise, Paypal) as specified in your settings or when you place your request. Note that there will be third party transactional fees for the Payouts which will vary depending on the chosen payment method.
5. Payments: All payments are processed once a week but it may take a few days for the funds to reflect in your account, depending on your chosen withdrawal method. It will take a few days to process so you can expect Payouts at the beginning of the month as long as you have placed your request withdrawal latest by the end of the previous month.
6. Provide Quality Education / Training: As an Instructor / Coach on The Learner Club, you are expected to deliver high-quality educational / training experiences to your learners / c;lients. Be punctual, prepared, and maintain professionalism in all interactions.
7. Communication: Prompt and effective communication is key to a successful teaching or coaching experience. Respond to messages and inquiries from learners or clients promptly, and be available for scheduled lessons or sessions, classes, workshops or webinars.
8. Respect Our Community Guidelines: Ensure that all content, materials, and interactions on The Learner Club are professional and reflect positively on you as an Instructor / Coach with the platform. This includes maintaining a respectful and inclusive teaching / coaching environment, free from discrimination, harassment, or offensive content.

Some important notes and community rules and regulations:
To ensure that The Learner Club platform provides top-quality educational and coaching services, we have developed community rules and regulations for Instructor / Coaches. Please read them carefully before you start teaching or coaching. The violation of these rules will result in hiding and/or blocking the Instructor / Coach’s profile from search results. For multiple or severe violations of these rules, the profile will be blacklisted and removed from the platform.
What is not acceptable on the Learner Club platform?
1. Getting payments from TLC learners or clients outside the platform. The Learner Club has a secure virtual wallet for both Instructor / Coaches and learners/clients and a variety of flexible payment methods. It is not necessary or permitted to arrange payments outside the platform’s software. Learners / Clients pay Instructors / Coaches for their time and expertise by purchasing one-to-one classes / sessions, group classes / sessions / workshops / webinars and group courses (package of classes / sessions / workshops / webinars). These payments are automatically transferred to the Instructor / Coach’s secure virtual wallet, calculated after the prevailing commission rate has been deducted. The Instructor / Coach Dashboard shows all the monies paid. Instructor / Coaches may withdraw from this wallet to their bank accounts once a week. For more information refer to the
Payment Policy.
2. Cancellations are not recommended. Cancelling and/or not attending scheduled classes without rescheduling will negatively affect learners' / clients’ motivation to learn. We understand that anything can happen at any time. However, if you don't show up or cancel a lesson / session without providing a learner/client with a valid reason your profile will be affected. Learners / Clients can cancel a class more than 24 hrs before the start. Rescheduling a class / session / workshop / webinar is a better option for both Instructor / Coach and Learner / Client. Please refer to our
Terms and Conditions to find out more about rescheduling.
3. Sharing any contact information before lessons/sessions have been booked is not permitted. However, it is understood that sometimes Instructors / Coaches may use third-party services and links as part of the lessons / sessions and these may be shared during the lesson / session or afterwards through the messaging function within the Instructor / Coach Dashboard. The Learner Club is not responsible for the content or accuracy of these, as defined in the
Terms and Conditions. Contact details that are not permissible to share include, but are not limited to: WhatsApp, phone number, email, Skype name, zoom, full names, and nicknames in social networks. If you are experiencing technical issues on the platform and need to conduct your lesson elsewhere, you may share these contact details, but only after the learner/client has purchased at least a lesson/session.
4. Sharing links to other websites with teaching / coaching services. Your profile will be blocked if you send links to other teaching / coaching platforms.
5. Violation of social norms and rules including inappropriate behavior, sexual harassment, fraud. Each complaint will be investigated individually by The Learner Club team, and strict actions can be initiated. Additional rules The Learner Club reserves the sole right to assess, resolve, and make decisions about the above-mentioned rule violations, as well as other disputes involving users of the platform or thelearnerclub.com itself
